    GDS Gives Back!

When we first read the story in the NJ Star Ledger about the foundation Kevin and his wife had started, we knew right away we wanted to help. We contacted Kevin and began a dialogue about ways in which we could support their goals to fund research on skeletal dysplasia. We embarked on first creating a brand identity for the foundation, then integrated it on their stationery and business cards. And finally, we designed and built them a professional web site, which serves to educate people on this devastating disease, and also as a means to solicit donations. It's also a way for others to connect who have experienced this. "Our philosophy as a business, is a responsibility to give something back to our community as much as we can. We feel honored to have been able to make a difference for Kevin, and others in the future. We are proud that our work will provide assistance and support to the mission of The Luca John Foundation." - Dan Antonelli, President and Creative Director, Graphic D-Signs, Inc., Washington, NJ.

Here is what Kevin Baranowski, Co-Founder of The Luca John Foundation had to say at the completion of the project:

Dear Dan and Entire Graphic D-Signs Staff,

On behalf of The Luca John Foundation we want to give you a big thank you for all of the work that you put into making our website, and creating an identifying brand for our foundation. The work you did not only make our site visually appealing, and easy to recognize, but it provides a sanctuary where families who have suffered the most severe loss anyone can face, to come and talk to other families.

The amount of heart that your employees put into our design and concept can be seen by the quality of the work that they produce. I hope you all understand just how important a role you have played in our mission. The ability for us to serve our two missions, 1) provide financial grants to institutions that research skeletal dysplasia's and 2) provide financial assistance to families who have suffered the loss of an infant child is only possible by demonstrating the amount of dedication we have. Our new site shows that dedication, and allows donors easy access to contribute.

Again on behalf of The Luca John Foundation and the families that we have and will serve in the future, thank you.

    Kevin R. Baranowski
    Co-Founder
    The Luca John Foundation

    Dan presents @ USSC

Dan Antonelli presented two design workshops at the USSC Sign Convention in Atlantic City, on November 30 and December 1. His two seminars, one focusing on the importance of design for sign and graphic professional, and the other on web design, were attended by over 175 people. "It's always great to be able to share your knowledge with other professionals, who strive for the same level of excellence in their work that I do." said Dan Antonelli.
