A Note From Our President, Dan Antonelli, About Our Mission.

I always thought mission statement pages were rather pointless. I mean, isn't a mission page simply saying what a company does, or how it likes to do it? But, then in a Jerry Maguire-esque moment, in the middle of the night, I thought that, yes, we do need a mission page. What we do here IS actually different than most other companies. So, ten years later after starting the company, we're finally going to have a mission statement.

We are a 'solutions company.'

While logos and identity, web sites, and advertising materials are what we produce here, it's not really what we do. That, I realize, sounds like an oxymoron. But the reality is, what we actually provide are advertising and marketing solutions for our clients. Those other things (logos, websites, etc.) are simply the vehicles through which we offer those solutions.

I think what makes us different from other agencies is our goal is to actually have you spend the least amount of money possible to grow and expand your business. This sounds like a recipe for disaster, at least, that's what my accountant says. But the reality is that we don't like spending your money. We're cautious. We want your ad budget to be decreasing, and your sales increasing. We want to give you the tools to make that happen.

We want our clients to be spending less money for better results. We want to be your partner in solving marketing problems and driving results... increasing your company's profits through Smart Solutions (which, incidentally, is the name of our company newsletter). As small business owners, we realize your budgets are limited.

Sure, we like to make pretty things - like logos, web sites and brochures, but what we love more is how those pretty things translate into sales and growth for your company. That's exciting. That's what we love about our jobs. We don't design for awards and accolades (although they seem to come to us anyway) - but rather with our clients strategic objectives in mind. Our target audience for your marketing is not other designers. We don't care what other designers think of our work. Other designers don't pay our bills - our clients do - or rather, our clients' clients do.

That's why we design your materials to appeal to your customers. Period.

So, now that I've explained that - here goes. It's my first mission statement, and it's late at night, so I hope in the morning it will sound just as good.
